Our Beliefs

God is truly great! He has been described as:

Omnipotent [all-powerful]
Omniscient [all knowing], and
Omnipresent [everywhere at the same time]

Yet, with all that power, God chose to give us FREE WILL. Rather than demand that we love Him, we have been given free will, not to do anything we want, but to choose "God", or "Not God".

For many people, Christian upbringing taught them the importance of Bible Study and prayer. They learned how to rely on God for wisdom and strength. They also learned how to "let go, and let God" in their daily walk, choosing to be guided by Scriptural wisdom and reject the worldview of humanity.

For many others, the process has been slower and more painful. Their personal walk brought them through the minefields of "life without God", and whether seriously scarred or not, they developed a strong desire for something better. They found it in Jesus!

For many more, the existence of God, and the belief that life runs on something more than coincidence and circumstance, is incomprehensible. Life is a battle everyday, with no true source of support, and little hope for a better future.

At Day One, we know that God loves all people: obedient believers, scarred survivors, and lost sinners. We also know that reaching out to all of them, and loving them, is obedience to the Great Commandment. Therefore, we reach out, and we love!

…we reach out, and we love!

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
and that the time of the Lord's favor has come."
