It's truly Day One again …Rejoice!

In the Bible, throughout the Old Testament, we learn of God's willingness to restore His people after they broke their covenants with Him. Their actions often led to distress and sorrow, but God always restored them and forged a new covenant. Because of God's unconditional love, His followers experienced a glorious new DAY ONE with each new covenant.

Sometimes, in our personal lives, we also suffer distress and sorrows due to our own sinful actions. I personally believe that while our sinful actions are displeasing to God, they also sadden Him. He loves us, and He wants us to be comforted, confident, and complete in Christ!

Whenever we, as maturing Christians, move away from God in thought or action, an unmistakeable feeling of brokenness begins to grow within us. Our personal lives just don't feel complete until our relationship with the Lord is restored to fullness. God is always waiting for us to return!

Another opportunity to experience a Day One in our personal, relational and business lives is not necessarily sin related. Sometimes life changes invite fear, jealousy, anger, excitement, passion, hope, love, curiosity and other feelings. We may feel loss of control over our situation. Often our thoughts are challenged by worldview threats or events. Once again, we may feel brokenness within.

Psalm 34:18 reassures us that,

"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed."

Within Day One Ministries, we strive to serve the Lord by being close to those who are challenged, damaged, or broken. We are motivated to assist them, pray for them, and encourage them as they seek the pure joy of a fully restored relationship with God!

Today, August 11th 2015, we are happy to announce a new Day One for some exciting new projects:

…It's Day One for our new Core database
…It's Day One for our new DayoneMinistries.org website
…It's Day One for our new Ambassador Program
…It's Day One for our new S.E.R.V.E. Volunteer Program

We'll be sharing more about each of these projects in the near future. All are designed, implemented, and growing. Please pray that God will continue to guide our efforts to serve Him.

A personal challenge for the coming month:

THE GREAT COMMISSION

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age'."
Matthew 28:18-20 NIV

THE GREAT COMMANDMENT

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And a second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments'."
Matthew 22:37-40 NIV

The Day One family invites YOU to join us in applying the Great Commission and Great Commandment in our daily walk with the Lord, so that together we might bring more praise, and glory, and honor to God!

Today is Day One of the rest of your life, …and we're already praying for you!

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,
and that the time of the Lord's favor has come."
